SpringSource buys G2One

SpringSource announced today that is has acquired G2One, Inc.. Here is the official press release. So what does this mean for Groovy and Grails? Good things, people. Good things. More marketing and advertising money to spread the word. More force behind driving the technologies. More clout for you, the developer, when you attempt to convince your program managers to use Groovy and Grails at your job. All good things.

I will continue working for SpringSource in the same role I was playing for G2One. GrailsUI will continue to be developed and maintained (I have big plans to stay in sync with Yahoo! and create a 2.0 version that uses YUI 3).

So now I guess I have to go update everywhere on the were that says I work for G2One :).

Also, I guess it is time I say this…
