This is the third of several installments on new features that will be a part of Grails-UI 1.1. I’m still working on it, and I’m not sure when the release date will be, but if you’d like to try it out in your application, you can get the source from SVN:

svn checkout http://svn.codehaus.org/grails-plugins/grails-grails-ui/branches/RELEASE_1_1-SNAPSHOT

Then package with grails package-plugin, and install into your project: grails install-plugin /path/to/snapshot/grails-grails-ui-1.1-SNAPSHOT.zip

sweet! all the new UI features are looking rather nice! Are there any plans to add conditional highlighting to the Datatable or is that another days work?

@John Thanks for the kind words. I just created a JIRA issue for conditional highlighting, but I haven’t yet looked into it.

I know there is a Google Chart plugin, but it would be nice if the rendered charts could be served off of Google as an option.

@Roshan, I’m sorry, but I don’t think that will be a feature of Grails-UI, since there is already a plugin that is focused on that.

Great stuff! Your javascript-lite UI toolkit is helping balance out the grey hairs I get from the UI toolkit I use at my 9-5. Am very much looking forward to the full release.

Nothing new about layout ? I’m new, how can I use layout (north, west, south) with Grail-UI.

@amilinux It doesn’t look like there are any JIRA requests for layout features. It would be an interesting feature, and at this point there are so many JIRAs for Grails-UI that each new feature is entirely driven by popularity of the issue. Please feel more than welcome to create a new JIRA issue. That’s the only way we’ll know that people want this implemented.

It’s a great job! Thank you Matthew!
I am really impatient to use the new charts features in Grails-UI.
Do you have a date for the release?

mmmmh.. :( unfortunately the charts doesn’t work.
I created a Jira issue following this link:
    http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GRAILSPLUGINS-1259

Please correct this issue or tell me how to correct it?

    Thank you.
